Bali Island is located in South-East Asia. It is an island province of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Republic of Indonesia is the third largest nation in Asia (after China and India), and is an archipelago, a string of islands, stretching down from Malaysia, and between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.

To the south of Bali Island is Australia, to the north is the Philippines, to the east is Papua New Guinea, and to the West is Singapore and Malaysia.

Indonesia is made up of over 13,000 islands, and is located on both sides of the equator. The main islands in Indonesia are Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Bali, Lombok, Sumba, Flores, Timor, Irian Jaya, Sulawesi, and the Moluccas.

Bali Island is located at the centre of the Indonesian archipelago, and lies at approximately 8 degrees south of the equator. It is bordered on the east by Java and to the west by Lombok.
